OK, so maybe I don't look like a walking dead fan-but I truly can't get enough of this series. From the first graphic novel to the newest, it is just fun! I frequently have to fight the kids for the newest book and we often issue "spoiler alerts" before we talk about the latest episode. We spend a lot of time comparing the graphic novels to the tv series and frankly, we love them both!OK, so maybe I don't look like a walking dead fan-but I truly can't get enough of this series. If you enjoy carnage at every turn and have some time on your hands, this is the book for you. Although the television program is not always faithful to the book series, this is a must read for those awaiting the upcoming television series return. Don't become too attached to a character, however. This was the first of Sebold's books that I read. After finishing reading Lucky again I couldn't resist reading The Lovely Bones again. I found it to be as thought provoking as when I read it 10 years ago. Sebold captures the reader from the first paragraph and doesn't let go! I think the thing that I love the most about this book is that everyone who reads it seems to get something else out of it.This was the first of Sebold's books that I read. I read this when it first came out and just finished rereading it. Lucky is every bit as good as I remembered it! Once you get past the horrific first 15 pages where she describes her rape the book becomes a monumental description of survival that would touch any reader. I highly recommend it to readers 14+ with the caveat that teen readers are made aware of the graphic nature of the book. As an adult I found myself weeping when she describes moments in her life.I read this when it first came out and just finished rereading it. Lucky is every bit as good as I remembered it!
