Strictly for the word-obsessed. Includes THE longest word in the English language, which comes in at 1,185 letters (it means "tobacco mosaic virus, Dahlemense strain", whatever the f*** that is). I've tried many times to pronounce this word. Never even came close to managing it. It's just too long. I have managed to pronounce (& try to even work into conversations) some of the other much less formidable long words in the "sesquipedalian" section of the book, such as "floccinaucinihilipilification", which means "the act of estimating as worthless", a description I certainly wouldn't apply to this book.
