What will the zoo send next? Very simple, few words per page text for the just starting reader.

This book is well rated and I see why kids like it. My son enjoyed the animals and the lift the flaps but as an adult I don't like the message this book is sending. One, the book supports keeping wild animals in the zoo or as pets. Two, it treats pets as something you can just send back if you don't like them.

A great classic kids book that will stand the test of time. Great for kids to learn about animals in a fun way with lots of lift flaps.

My toddler goes to the book shelf and pulls this down for me to read to her at night. Each time she opens a flap we make the noise of the animal behind it. She thinks it's really funny. The words are simple and it's so fun learning about each animal.

A small child wishes for a pet and the zoo keeps sending animals that are not quite right. Will the perfect pet ever arrive?

This book is always a hit with children whether read to one child alone or a large group at storytime. There are lots of great activities linked to this book on the Little big Book club's site.
Enjoy!

This book is about a child who gets a gift from the zoo, but they can't quite get it right and send it back. Over, and over and over again until they get it right! It's a fun flap book to pull and discover what is hiding in the gifts the zoo has sent.
