Ayurveda, the "science of life", is one of the oldest holistic medical systems in the world. Originating in India more than 5,000 years ago and spreading to Tibet, China and Japan, this uncanny intersection of science, medicine and magic is only now receiving serious study in the West.

This is a documentary film and the video quality is rather poor. Obviously it is a film to put Ayurveda, an ancient form of holistic healing, on the pedestal. I am more of a science guy and did some research on this later on. My conclusion is, without bending to political correctness, most of the healing is not based on science, and knowledge is past from one generation to the another, usually the sons of the practitioner. I have no trust in this kind of healing and will take it with a huge grain of salt. As a film, it does get you exposed to what this form of healing is about. Subtitles.

This is a 2004 documentary about holistic medicine.
It is an insighful look at one of the oldest holistic healthcare systems on the planet.
Founded on the belief that human disease is cured by restoring an imbalance of individual life energies, Ayurveda supports diverse forms of treatment.
The film is a gripping, fascinating and eye-opening documentary.
