“Villains are not always villains, and heroes are not always heroic; it is a pleasure to find a villain who is exactly what we took him to be.”
“Love settles like a warm blanket on the brain, smothering the critical faculties.”

Comment
Add a CommentSequel to "The Last Camel Died at Noon," which has the best title, at least, in the entire series. It's 10 years later, and at loose ends, the Emersons are visited in England by a relative of their friend, the ruler of the Lost Oasis in the Sudan, who needs their help. They blithely go off, never thinking anything can go wrong. Everything does, but of course Amelia, with the help of her family, and some others, gets out of all the troubles. The plot is a bit strained, but the humor's grand.
