Amazing book series if you go through to the end

Personally I think the first book was better, because this one has a bit of a boring spot a bit before the middle

I was disappointed with the first book in this series and didn't think I'd keep going, but the characters stayed with me, and I wondered what happened to them. I got more caught up in the action of this second book so I probably will read the rest.

Interesting sequel to the original. There was less build up at the beginning because it started where the original left off. Although the climax was a bit of a let down, I am looking forward to reading the third book.

Arthur slammed the rear kitchen door shut behind him. But this one had no lock, and from the weight of it, could barely stop a determined fist, let alone otherworldly tentacles.

He thought about his life. His regular life. He wanted it, every boring bit that he’d ever complained about.
