I didn't think I was going to like this book, but when I got about 2 pages in, I couldn't stop reading.
The book is about Alyss Heart who is the real Alice in Wonderland. But Alice in Wonderland is just a fantasy tale of a little girl who follows a white rabbit.. this is much more! This is a story of Alyss Heart, who is the heir to the Wonderland throne. Unfortunately, her evil aunt gets in the way and Alyss' life is in danger and she loses most of the people that she loves.

Awesome! A spin on a commonly known book into an amazing adventure.

An creative remix of the Alice in Wonderland story that takes readers through an adventurous rediscovery of Alice/Alyss's roots. Great for teens and adults. Read the whole trilogy, and try the spin-off "Hatter" graphic novels, too!

I enjoyed this book. I liked the idea of it going in and thought the author delivered a great product. I do know that this is a series so I was anticipating that some of the story lines wouldn't be fully fleshed out. I was happy to find that most were, unlike some books that treat a series as an excuse to never answer any questions.

I likes the characters here and, especially the little twists to what we thought we knew and that the Lewis Carroll version was tied in a little. I do think that Redd could have been explored a bit more and less time spent on Alyss while she was on Earth. But maybe that will pay dividends in the rest of the series.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series and, hopefully, diving further into some of the side characters.

I thought it was great, my big brother actually gave me the trilogy to read and it was really good! Hatter is my fave character, and the romance between Dodge and Alyss wasn't graphic, or inapropriate just sweet. Anyway it was good reading.

This book is Awesome! I never liked the original Alice in Wonderland books or movies, but i loved this book sooo much that I decided to read the whole series. The author wrote it really well, and I loved the way he did just everything! I think the twist on the characters was very interesting, my favorite character was Hatter Madigan!

The Looking Glass Wars is a trilogy spin-off of Alice in Wonderland books by Lewis Carroll. The story itself was enjoyable to read, my only issues with it the characters where not people you could become attached to or root for. You wanted Alyss to win and go home to Wonderland, but you didn't feel any real connection to her good or bad. The book as a whole felt rushed and had a lot of loose-ends and just unexplained points. What was enjoyable was the explanation of Wonderland and the entire of the other places in the book are amazing.

This book was an interesting spinoff of the Wonderland. It even included some historical features such as Alice Lindell and the Lindell Family. Also the author of the original Wonderland was included. This book tied in fantasy to history in some ways. I thought it was a pleasant read but found the characters needed to be developed more. But it keeps you entertained and happy.

A wonderful, creative twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland. I love the concept of 'imagination' and how Wonderland is a, haha, queendom. get it? Never mind. Alice is this rebellious, cheeky girl at the beginning, and it's wonderful to see how she grows and becomes this beautiful Queen. All the ties in of the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and also, the writing of the original story are just amazing. An absolute must read for anyone, even if they haven't read Alice in Wonderland. WELL, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??
