Add a CommentXavier’s mother marries Chris’s father, but there’s one problem – Xavier doesn’t want a new brother. He tries to make sure Chris understands that he doesn’t want to share his mom or his life. Slowly, the two start to understand more about each other. Both boys have a lot of adjusting to do, but in the end, the love of their parents and the arrival of a wonderful surprise helps cement this new family. Told in verse, with beautiful illustrations that show the story from Xavier’s point of view, this is a wonderful book for any child adjusting to the addition of step-parents and/or step-siblings.
In 20 powerful poems , 2 boys that are strangers learn to become brothers . About their struggles and eventual coming together to become a family . Heartwarming and touching story in poem form , yet doesn't seem like reading poem verse. Good illustrations also.
