One of my all time favorite movies and one of the best Disney remakes! This movie gives me such good, nostalgic feelings reminding me of happy summers. The acting is incredible, the story is endearing and overall it is quite uplifting.

This is a great update to such a classic film. Lindsay Lohan is completely adorable here as Hally and Annie, the twins who meet at camp and put together a plan to reunite their parents. Dennis Quaid and the beautiful Natasha Richardson (may she rest in peace) are the perfect couple and there are many humorous moments throughout the film. Even the nemesis of the film, the dreaded fiance of the dad's, is so "unlikable" that you can't help but feel sorry for her. Beautiful scenery of the wine country as well as London is featured here. This is a wonderful movie for the whole family.

Basically updated bigger budget remake. Hollywood story basically the same but there is more details, dramatic scenes, better biting jokes, different hometowns & introducing funny second bananas (the butler of each parent). Martin in Speedo I couldn't unsee. The opening on how parents met was nice & glamorous ,but it felt like a glorified promotional video on Cunard ships.
Golddigger's mother looked so familiar. Internet search found out she cast as original 1961 golddigger.
Disney so lucky remake was a sucess thanks to script, cast & especially Lindsey Lohan to learn UK accent & some colorful French phrases.

Never seen this one, but I hear it's terrible compared to the original with Hayley Mills as Susan and Sharon... but again: I've never seen it so idk for sure.

Without a doubt, this remake of the original Parent Trap has been one of my favourite movies since I can remember. It is such a cute and touching story of twins that were separated at birth and live two opposite lives. Finally, they reunite at a summer camp by coincidence where they create an elaborate plan to get their parents back together. I loved the acting and plot in this movie! Lindsay Lohan did an amazing job playing both Hallie and Annie. This comedy is great to watch with your family or by yourself if you’re looking for a pleasant and lovable film. I rate this a 4.5/5.- @butterflyreads of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
I really enjoyed watching The Parent Trap! I thought that this was a good remake of the original film, and liked Lindsay Lohan’s portrayal of the main characters. The story line is very creative, and definitely intriguing! There is humour, mystery, and emotion, all of which make the film very engaging! You will quickly become interested in the characters and plot! This is a movie that I could watch multiple times, and I would definitely recommend that other viewers give it a try, as well! I also think that it would be suitable, and entertaining, for people of all ages! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

The Parent Trap is a classic film that I think is a must watch no matter what age you are! The movie is about a girl named Hallie, that finds herself at an all girls camp in the summer. Little did Hallie know that she would soon find another girl at the camp named, Annie, that looks too much like her. The two girls take advantage of their similarities and decide to make some significant switches in their lives. Overall, I would rate this movie a four out of five stars because of its genre (comedy) and plot. What made me like this movie even more is that you can watch it with family or friends and get a good laugh out of it no matter how many times you watch it.

The Parent Trap is a wonderful, adorable, and funny family film. Two very similar young girls from completely different worlds meet for the first time at camp, only to find out that they are actually twins who have been separated at birth by their divorced parents. Together, they come up with a scheme to get their parents back together. Young Lindsay Lohan does such an amazing job at playing both Hallie and Annie that you can’t even tell that they are played by the same person. 4.5/5 would recommend.

Yes, this is a kids' movie, but like Harry Potter, anyone can play. The storyline is winningly sentimental without trafficking in sticky sweetness. The great attraction for me is how skillfully (then-11-year-old) Lindsay Lohan is able to convey two distinct personalities. You willingly accept that Annie and Hallie are each real and unique--and the movie soars accordingly.
