I liked this recording, it resonates a lot with, Darkness at Noon by Arthur Koestler, sparse and sometimes hypnotic prose leads the reader into a labyrinth of deception and darkness.

Maybe it's just me, but Kafka doesn't 'listen' well - I think he has to be actually read to be appreciated. I found this and especially The Castle to be endlessly tedious - never getting anywhere.
