This was my favorite of the Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher versions. Lots of action and suspense as I anxiously awaited the "Return of the Jedi" (which wasn't nearly as enjoyable as this one).

Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back is the second film in George Lucas' space opera. The movie starts with an attack from the Empire on the planet Hoth. Hoth is where the rebel base is located so everyone is frantically trying to fight off the AT-AT while getting prepared to leave. When they are off, Luke takes R2-D2 to a swamp planet to find master Yoda, an older Jedi who can continue Luke's training. When he is training, Luke feels like Leia and Han are in trouble so he sets off to help them ignoring Yoda’s warning that it is a trap. If you enjoyed Star Wars A New Hope, I would definitely recommend watching this movie. The Empire Strikes Back really gives people a better understanding of the story. However, this movie is a little darker and more confusing than the first star wars movie. The movie is still okay for kids. The Empire Stikes Back also finishes on a cliff hanger which will draw people in to the next movie. Overall if I had to rate this movie, I would rate it four out of five stars.

The Empire Strikes Back seems to be a lot of fans favorite movie in the whole Star Wars franchise. I don’t fully agree on that. Yes, the movie is amazing when it comes to the effects, battle scenes, music and the greatest cinematic revel of all time but I just don’t see it being the best Star Wars movie. George Lucas the director of The Empire Strikes Back, toke a chance by making a new Star Wars movie that would fit in well to the series and it was worth it. Like I said before the movie became number one in a lot of fans hearts and led to the creation of more Star Wars films. I completely understand how this movie managed to become a favorite in the Star Wars franchise, the epic battle scenes left everyone wanting more while the more dramatic of scenes left some fans in shock. This movie whether you love it, or hate it will still be one of the best Star Wars movies. 4/5

Empire is commonly regarded as the best star wars film in the entire series. I disagree merely because i have more of a fondness towards the sixth episode. The movie opens with an incredible siege scene on the iconic snow planet of Hoth. The best parts of this film are the amazing visual settings. The crisp sterile look of the snow covered Hoth, the grimy dirty yet serene look of Dagobah, and the surreal floating city on Bespin. This movie was a sequel that met and surpassed the expectations that the first movie set for it. It is just as much of a classic as the first star wars.

Everybody loves this one, but I think it's cool and an okay sequel.

A classic Star Wars movie. I mean, it has one of the most famous lines in sci-fi history. Lando, Yoda, Han Solo, Luke, Leia, and for the real fans-Admiral Piett!

Of all of the Star Wars movies I've seen thus far (parts 1 through 4, 7, and "Rogue One" (part 3.5), this one is the best: the action scenes aren't utterly ludicrous or overdone, subplots are engaging without being distracting, the acting isn't noticeably bad, and there is more real drama to it (eg., character development).

Probably the best sequal ever made.

There's not much more to say that hasn't been said before with Empire Strikes Back. It's just the perfect put together sci-fi flick of possibly all time! Star Wars fan or not, this movie has all elements and you don't have to be a sci-fil nerd to love this movie. It's been regarded as the best movie of all of the Star Wars movies bar none combined. Enough of reading and talking, go watch it and find out for yourself what you wished you'd known before and may the force be with you!

I'm sick-to-death of Star Wars.
