I have never cared for James Brolin (one of the main characters) but he was tolerable in this movie. It was Kelly who really shined! This is a typical Hallmark Channel movie. Which means its ok if the kids are in the room and yes, it is pretty simple in th plot and yes, it has a happy ending. So if you are overworked and/or underpaid and just need to let the kids play and watch a good movie to take your mind off whatever...then you may be up for this one. Kelly & her dad enter into a kingdom never heard of and her dad (James Brolin) is NOT the cultured, socialite type. Rather he is a rough around the edge cowboy type and it is cute how they make it all work out (even if unrealistic). After all I am watching the movie because I've had enough of reality for now. Right. I would have given it higher marks But I just really don't care for James Brolin and that pulled it way down for me in the ratings.
