The story of an addict it is hysterical, nerve wracking and upsetting. I just finished season seven and was profoundly moved. (But, she knew what she was doing and she did it anyway. We humans are so flawed! Jackie would make an interesting subject for a character study!) I have to say, at the end of the series, I still liked (loved) all the characters. I liked the ending allot.

After the first ten minutes I had seen enough. How can anyone watch this crude garbage and think it is entertaining? An insult to the nursing profession!

DVD was in poor condition. Library users should be instructed on how to clean DVD's. Keep your gummy fingers off the discs. It is selfish of users not to keep the discs clean.

I power watched every episode over one week, 7 seasons in 7 days, and I loved it.

There is always the storm, the lies, and the fact that she walks though the lies with such ease, and yet it's her biggest burden. I want to call this a comedy without a laugh track, but for those that work in that sort of environment they will see the seriousness and reality that the job brings.

I highly recommend this show for anyone, but especially anyone that is an EMT, pharmacist, works in triage, ER, or critical care. You know who you are, and you deal with a crisis more than twice a day. It's our job, and I'll bet people that work these fields will understand Jackie.

Very entertaining--which is what it's meant to be, so it shouldn't be taken seriously.

Edie Falco is amazing as a somewhat detestable (yet relatable) nurse.

Love the characters, love the script.

Crude, rude, in-your-face vulgarity which is unfortunately so typical of American cable TV dramas that shock and hit you over the head with no nuance of any kind.

Edie Falco was made for this role. What a great actress. Great comedy/drama ... I must say, I'm hooked.

I'm thinking Edie Falco did this as a response to The Sopranos and thinking, well, James Gandolfini did well by playing a dislikeable character, I can too. Jackie is detestable and the storyline is pretty dull. Acting pretty good.
