Dreadful show

bbopper - Season 3 is available. I love this show. The main character just has one thing after another go wrong, so as he attempts to do the best he can with what he's got, all sorts of drama insues. This isn't just an empty comedy show, though. Lots of great issues and ideas and very, very considerately thought out.

I thought both the first and second seasons of "Hung" were pretty good. Too bad the name of this show wasn't as well thought out as the rest of the production. Is there a third season coming?

More comedy than drama, Hung, the first season, introduces Ray Drecker as a divorced father, high school teacher and basketball coach struggling to keep afloat financially. A career seminar gives Ray the idea to maximize his one obvious asset, his large manhood. A former one night stand, Tanya, teams up with Ray to offer "happiness opportunities" to lonely and horny women. Ray's inexperience in the world's oldest profession makes for some hilarious encounters. Another major storyline is Ray's relationships with his ex wife and two children. There are plenty of laughs with those situations as well.

This show is hard to judge, on one hand it is both serious and funny at times, and on the other it makes absolutely no sense. Still after that being said it has plenty of redeeming characteristics as well, it is well scripted and most of the acting is equally good. I would recommend this to fans of darker comedies.

Who could have guessed HBO would produce such a dog? The first season (I can't watch another) asks us to believe that the attractive star barely understands women and how to woo them. He must learn how women want romance and sex from his lovable pimp lady-friend. Albeit while earning hundreds of dollars each time during the training. Lead Thomas Jane is one of the worst actors I've seen in a while. Still can't understand how HBO is behind this series. Giggling about large genitalia isn't nearly enough to sustain this groan-fest. And ever wonder what happened to Anne Heche's career after she blew it up several years ago? Now you know.

Ray: (voice-over) There are moments in your life when you realize God is joking. He's up there. Hell, maybe She's up there, laughing her head off. Either way, you're f**ked.

Tanya: (to Ray) You ever been in a threesome? Everyone I've ever been in, the other two people screw while all I do is bring them water.

Ray: I used to have a family. I used to have a wife, kids, a house, a job. Now, well, now I have my d**k. A d**k and a dream. If that's not the American way, what is?
