One of the world`s healthiest foods, quinoa contains a perfect balance of all eight essential amino acids, and is a great source of protein, making it an increasingly popular food choice for those looking to incorporate `superfoods` into their everyday diets. Gluten-free, wheat-free, and nutrient-packed, quinoa is ideal for those who are health-conscious, vegetarian, and/or physically active, as well as for those with gluten intolerance, wheat allergies, and other digestive disorders. But that`s not all: You can eat quinoa guiltlessly knowing it`s free of cholesterol and trans fats. In Quinoa 365 sisters Patricia Green and Carolyn Hemming show you how to use this miraculous superfood in all your favourite dishes.

by Patricia Green and Carolyn Hemming ; Hemming and Green each have several other cookbooks, including one specific to quinoa.
National Bestseller. (cover) Some color photos.
Friendly recipes. Easy enough for anyone. One recipe per page.
Published yr 2010 way before people even knew the word quinoa.

This book:
Quinoa is one of the top ten foods for muscle building. One cup cooked is 8 grams protein.
It is a "complete protein" which means it contains all of the essential amino acids; very very important to the body, brain, heart, muscles.
Also talks about using cooked quinoa for infant and toddlers and children because of the many health benefits.

There's also a dvd out there called Quinoa.30 minutes. Not a part of this book.

We started eating quinoa due to allergies and Celiac. I thought this book would be helpful to learn more ways to cook it, but I was not too impressed. Basically every recipe included at least one priority allergen - wheat/gluten, dairy, soy, tree nuts, peanuts or egg. So if you're looking for the reasons I was, then I would probably suggest finding another book. If you're onto the latest fad of super foods ect then you'll probably eat this book right up. There are a ton of recipes, and I definitely stopped looking partway due to frustration.

Quinoa 365: the Everyday Superfood. --- by Patricia Green and Carolyn Hemming. This book is more of cookbook and less of an about-Quinoa book than I had hoped for: only about a dozen pages of the later. But the recipes are both sweet (decadent chocolate pudding and raspberry cake) and savory (chicken fried quinoa and or Peruvian peppered steak on quinoa). For those who are (more) adventuresome and/or (more) open minded this cookbook is an invitation. It may be worth the opportunity to add a new food to you repertoire of the old stand-bys.

No picture of each recipe although the overall style is fashionable

As a person who has cooked for about 40 of my fifty years, I have to tell you, cook books with the beauty shots on the cover and inside the book sort of make me wary-usually they're like the bad magician's beautiful assistant or the bad musician's half-nekkid back-up dancers-all just there to distract you from the lack of substance you're about to be offended by.
HOWEVER, this book contains a good amount of education along with the recipes-a plus. It also includes guide drawings to indicate which are vegan, which ones are kid-tested, etc. As it says in the beginning of the book, meat is sometimes included in recipes delineated as vegan, because the recipe is just as successful without the meat in it, so meat is 'optional' in those recipes. Gave it three stars because Quinoa alone is not that interesting of a story.

Not even surprised that this book is still in demand two years later. I like to borrow recipe books from the library so I can try a few recipes before deciding if it is a book worth purchasing - Quinoa 365 was an obvious buy. I use it all the time and get rave reviews by people who were, not long ago, terrified by that new hipster grain they couldn't pronounce!

A great cookbook if you like Quinoa and want to add some new choices to you meals. Some really good recipes, a definite read and a possible buy.

An excellent cookbook. This is now on my "Cookbooks to Buy" list. It has an excellent and interesting variety of recipes and information.

I was quite disappointed. The information is good, and recipes can be converted. While this book never claimed to be vegan or even vegetarian it includes several so-called "vegetarian" recipes. However, be careful! Even the vegetarian recipes are not what they say it is. Vegetarians don't eat fish! Overall, some of the recipes ideas are good, things you wouldn't normally think of using quinoa for.

Cookbook helps you eat your quinoa with every meal.
Two sisters with a love of the ancient grain, have taken the Canadian cookbook industry by storm. Patricia Green of Cochrane, Alta., and Carolyn Hemming of Mississauga, Ont., published the family-friendly recipe book Quinoa 365: The Everyday Superfood in March 2010. A surprise hit, Quinoa 365 has become a national bestseller, with around 100,000 copies sold in North America – and that’s not counting the French-language edition. Book stores are having a hard time keeping it in stock, and publishers in the U.K. and Australia have now picked it up.
