Not the worst film I've ever seen. A flat comedy that goes nowhere, with surprisingly lackluster performances from both Klein and Dano. All the funny bits were in the trailer; I expected more. It's hard to think why Klein signed on to this project given, as the producers point out in the extras, that his nickname in the business is "Kevin De-cline". But, if you do watch the film, watch the extra features, and try to spot anyone who shows the least bit of enthusiasm. John C. Reilly's performance, although limited, is the only redeeming element. Well worth passing over.

This was a very odd movie with very little story depth. But the acting by two masters (Kline and Spano) was superb. John C. Reilly's voice cracked me up.

If you have some time to kill, give it a shot.

I really enjoyed this comedy: well acted, trying some new avenues of acting for both Kline and Dano (two of the best actors working) and really really funny !

Kevin Kline is a boring actor but hes good for this movie that is slow and 10-15minutes too long. If you've never been poor in NYC this movie is probably not for you. The soundtrack and props/set design is really what makes the movie great.

Kevin Kline and Paul Dano are hilarious. Have watched this more than once and laughed as much every time!

It's a quirky tale about a young man trying to find himself in New York city while he rooms with an oddball older man. If you like Wes Anderson's movies you will enjoy this offbeat comedy and its eccentric cast of characters.

Too strange for me. I didn't get to the end.
