Just drinking this in!! I have had several small AHA moments.

Highly recommend this IF you are smart enough to work at it and not just read it like a novel!

Very interesting book. Interesting perspective and well developed thought process though the idea feels familiar yet it is smartly written. The meditation part is a bit too technical also with the details of neurohormonal stuffs isn’t as interesting. The book discussed all the good stuffs achieved through meditation.

Interesting book, but it feels padded out (lots of repetition). It really could have been half the size. The instructions regarding the mediation are slightly confusing too. Luckily I have the cds. which makes it a lot easier. I note that the text for these meditations also differs somewhat from the cds.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little difficult to understand all the "scientific" talk at the start but once he gave examples I was able to relate it to my life and thoughts. I recommend this book to anyone who is going through a hard time emotionally and needs to understand why our brain does what it does. I have so many highlighted paragraphs and need to read them more often. I also saw him speak at a conference in Melbourne and it all just made more sense.

Merely an average self-help book. It claims to be science based, but is light on real science.
