This book was my favorite out of this series. I appreciated the love triangle, and L.J Smith providing a conclusion. Elena's character is very lucky to have friends such as Meredith, Bonnie, and Matt.

With Stefan, Damon, and Katherine, being from the same time period, and what Katherine does to the Salvatore brothers is just so selfish and wrong.

The book has twists and turns. Damon's character is a dark knight. By far, he is one of my favorite characters. I thoroughly have enjoyed reading the series up to this point. L.J. Smith did a really great job of a great ending!!

AWESOME NOVEL! I loved this book. Especially the action. kept me on the edge of my seat and i couldn't put it down. It different than the show but it is worth reading it definitely! I loved that the characters were still the same as the show for example, Stefan and Elena are so passionate together just like the show. I liked how the author draws you into the Elena's world and keeps you guessing. I can't wait to read the rest. Great story! :)

I bought a copy of a two in one of the start of this series for an extremely attractive price. While I did not really enjoy them, the second book ending in such a way that I felt compelled to pick up the third, which this is. It was brutal to get through. Ill written, and abstractly plotted, I kept putting it down, and by the time I went back to it and tried to get into it again, I found it confusing and hard to follow, and once I did manage to get back into it, I found I did not want to follow it, and put it back down again. After the end of it, I went to wikipedia to learn how the series ended, rather than wasting the time to wade through the next one.
