Known throughout for his prowess in the bedroom, Morgan Lyons, the eighth Earl of Westcliffe, cannot forgive an unpardonable affront to his honor. Discovering his young bride in the arms of his brother was a staggering blow so he banished the beautiful deceiver to the country and devoted himself to the pursuit of carnal pleasure. Claire Lyons was an innocent, frightened girl on her wedding day, seeking chaste comfort from a childhood friend. Now, years later, she has blossomed magnificently and has returned to London with one goal in mind: the seduction of her notorious husband. Unskilled in the sensual arts, she burns nonetheless for the kisses too long denied her. And she has but one Season to win back the heart of the rogue she betrayed. They are masters of seduction, London's greatest lovers. Living for pleasure, they will give their hearts to no one until love takes them by surprise.

Boring. Most of this book is spent in the heads of the main characters. Lots of confused mental rambling with almost NO descriptive writing at all. Half the time I could not tell where they were or what was going on. One scene began in the library and ended up in bed, of course, with no explanation of how they got there. Library...Surprise we are in bed now.

True I also could not put this book down as it was rather like watching a train wreck and I kept wondering if it could really be this bad.

Claire was annoying, no backbone, just alot of gentle sniveling. The end was also horrible. Three separate romance novel standard events all jammed into the last 20 or so pages.

Thumbs down. i'll read one more from this author but I hope the other books do not resemble this one in any way.

I enjoyed this book. Morgan Lyons is a complex character who doesn't trust easily. The slow development of trust and love between Morgan and Claire was believable and the added foil of Anne Cavil's machinations made Morgan and Claire's journey worth reading.
