Good movie. Interesting take on the Rapunzel story you grew up with as a child.

An amazing Disney film showing that Disney had bounced back from the slump it found itself in the 1990's, but was overshadowed by the next movie that came out. However, I think Tangled is better. I adored the heroine in this film. She was spunky, optimistic, and stronger than she looked. The hero was snarky, fun, and adventurous. The villain was one of the most manipulative villains in Disney's history. She only wanted one thing, and succeeded in holding onto her goal for eighteen years. While the songs weren't as catchy as the ones that came later, they were still fun, especially "Mother Knows Best," "I've Got a Dream," and "I See the Light." Overall, this movie was one of Disney's finest, and shows what a good decision it was to hire the entire Pixar team for their animation department.

This movie is magical, and beautiful... In this beautiful kingdom, there is a new baby. She is not just an ordinary girl, she is the princess. She's also a survivor. When the queen was carrying her, she got sick and this magic sunflower healed and saved both of them. The magic sunflower has a special power when it's sang to with a special song. Only one person knows about this and it's an old lady who uses the sunflower for her own advantage; to keep herself young. Though the sunflower is gone, the power is in the princess, the princess's long long hair. The old lady kidnaps the princess and claims that she is her mother. The princess never cuts her hair because if she does, the power will disappear... The princess is forced to live in a tall tower and is kept away from civilization. One day a man breaks into the tower and she starts to realize things... and starts to break the rules and live for herself...

I really liked, though my Dad does not like cause there is singing. :) I thought it was good.

No surprises here: from beginning to end “Tangled” is the typical Disney film. Still, it has some catchy songs.

TANGLED BIRTHDAY QUOTE:

Rapunzel: It's my birthday! Ta-daa
Mother Gothel: No no no, can't be. I distinctly remember. Your birthday was last year.
Rapunzel: That's the funny thing about birthdays. They're kind of an annual thing.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Rapunzel might encourage other people to grow 70 feet of hair or more. now if they start early, their hair could ACTUALLY grow across new York. True story.

Other: Rapunzel is slightly saucy towards her "mother". Though the old lady is not her mother, Rapunzel's attitude to her mother could influence younger children to be like her.
