be aware some of these songs are "R" rated. Funny to some, Christians should be cautious

NOT FOR CHILDREN. That being said, this is one of the best shows on Broadway. The cast recording does a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of the show, and while the language can be shocking, if you listen carefully, it's hard to argue with their choice to use it (see quote). I play it regularly unless I have tickets to see a production. Warning: there are many spoilers, and if you haven't seen it but will soon, I recommend that you wait to listen until after so the jokes aren't ruined for you.

The "Magic That Is Broadway" is at work here in this spritely, funny, and thoroughly entertaining musical. The opening number, "Hello" is adorable - I find myself playing it over in my head, or even singing it to myself. Wish I could remember more of the words.

I saw a performance of "I Believe" on the Tony Awards last year and loved it. I'm a big fan of Avenue Q, a musical by the same people. I think the songs are catchy, but I got to a certain part in "Hasa Diga Eebowai" and was really turned off. I'm not a prude or anything, but the language in that song was completely unnecessary. The rest of the song was hilarious. But they only used those words for shock value and I didn't like it.

They forgot Rory O'Malley.
Well, anyway, I really love this music.

I have not yet seen the show, but the music is AMAZING! The soundtrack is on my iPod and I can't stop listening to it! The songs are parodies and spoofs of other Broadway/musical songs. Great CD!

The warlords there are friendly
They help you cross the street
And there's a red cross on every corner
With all the flour you can eat!
