This was really good. I'm glad that Zoey found out the truth about her mom and that the good red fledglings' can live safe.

Loved it, but i was ticked off when they broke up the twins. They were the best part of the series too.

I love these series but out of all the books this one would be my disliked one. It was boring for me to read and I kept getting confused with these constant pov changes. what I did like about it was the Rephaim and Stevie rae moments, they really care about each other and protect each other, it really made me like their relationship more. Zoey is really becoming annoying to me and I wish she's not with Stark because in my opinion he's way too good for her and deserve someone better. the near ending was the only thing that was good but the others just dull and uninteresting. I hope Hidden is better.

If you're looking for any big revelations in the series, this book is not what you're looking for. If you enjoyed the past books, you'll like this, though.

I actually really liked Destined...for the last 3/4 books the series has really become boring and repetitive but Destined really got me interested in the story again! I am just loving Rephaim and Stevie-Rae right now! I really lost what little of respect I had for Erin though- but I certainly gained a lot of respect for Shaunee! I really want to see more of Shaylin though! I hope she comes up more in the next book! Really looking forward to Hidden!

No no no! You don't end a book like this. Very disappointed. Though, have found out that there's gonna be a tenth book, Hidden. Hpefully it'll end better.

These books are always pretty captivating. There is always something new in each book but the main plot of the story is the same. The characters are very relate-able and developed. A great series but I'm just wondering when and how it will end.

“Zo, I'm not a damn pussy!'

Erik, looking very tall and full-grown, kick-your-butt vampyre-like, snorted sarcastically and then said, 'No, you're a damn human. Wait, that does make you a pussy!”

“I should have kissed more than your hand...thought I'd have more time," he whispered between liquid, panting breaths. "...too late now."
I looked into his eyes and completely forgot the rest of the world. In that moment, all I knew was that I was holding Stark in my arms, and I was going to lose him very, very soon.”

“Actually, since I'm gay I think I should count for two guys instead of just one. I mean, in me you get the male point of view and you don't have to worry about me wanting to touch your boobies.”

“Last time I saw you, I said that it hurt too much to love you. But I was wrong about that. The truth is it hurts too much not to love you.”

Zoey awakens from a dream, and tells Stark of her mother's death; Stark comforts her. When they arrive at the House of Night, Zoey asks the Council for the accord in creating a second House of Night, which they give, with the initial condition that it will be a branch of the original, also a home for the red fledglings because they cannot be out during the daytime. Erik Marks a red fledgling named Shaylin, who has an affinity for True Sight, to see someone's "true colors" in their souls. Zoey's seer stone, a gift from Sgiach, continually warms around Aurox, proving to her that he was made from old magick. She continually tries to convince everyone that he is no Guardian, as Neferet leads everyone to believe, but as usual, no one believes her.
The High Council sends Thanatos to Tulsa to gather her own impression on the situation, but she reveals to Zoey that as a vampyre with an affinity for Death she has seen the Darkness around Neferet and has come to build a case against her; she asks Zoey to let her perform a reveal ritual of her mother's death so that Zoey may be able to see what really happened to her mother.

Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet – which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, Rephaim and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together – if he can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow…

But there are new forces at work at the House of Night. An influx of humans, including Lenobia’s handsome horse whisperer, threatens their precarious stability. And then there’s the mysterious Aurox, a jaw-droppingly gorgeous teen boy who is actually more – or possibly less – than human. Only Neferet knows he was created to be her greatest weapon. But Zoey can sense the part of his soul that remains human, the compassion that wars with his Dark calling. And there’s something strangely familiar about him…
