Good writing and art from Remender and Moore. A new host for the Venom symbiote is an old face in the kick off to the series. Unfortunately the old face is someone best forgotten. Flash Thompson, once the high school bully bane of Peter Parker, is now a double amputee former soldier working as a government operative, with the symbiote giving him a chance to work again. Despite the many efforts Marvel has made through the years to add dimension to the character, it's never worked. Flash should have long been relegated to the dustbins of comics history and forgotten.

Having Flash be Venom and going on missions for the United States was a Bold choice that works out well. There's some good action and an interesting throw down with Spidey. Pretty good read.

Would be better if it included the .1 issue that introduced Flash/Venom.
