Two master thieves are finally retiring after one last incredibly successful heist. Moving to the Bahamas to reside in their own tropical paradise, the pair's old nemesis, FBI Agent Stan P. Lloyd shows up to make sure they really are retired. Docked in the port is a ocean liner called the "Diamond Cruise" and Stan is convinced that they're not really retired at all, and that this is just the next set up. While Lola is busy settling into their new life, Max is contemplating whether or not to steal the famous Napoleon diamond.
Stupid. Predictable. Typical Follywood characters (e.g. the bad-a$$ know it all female, etc.). Same old gay humor throughout, as half the people in the biz (writers, producers, crew) are gay.
However, there are some funny scenes. (e.g. the whole beginning) Not very believable, but funny. (Some specific scenes, that is.)
This movie is really good. I have watched it several times and still enjoy it. I like the plot and think it is a great story that focuses on a professional thief and the FBI agent who keeps failing to catch him after being bested by the thief. It is a great post-James Bond Pierce Brosnan film.
