For years, King Lee Do has been working covertly on the creation of a Korean alphabet that would make literacy possible for commoners. As the alphabet nears completion, the scholars involved in the project begin to die one by one. Assigned to investigate the mystery, palace guard Chae-yoon links the serial killings to a secret society plotting to overthrow the throne. However, unbeknownst to all, Chae-yoon also has a secret motive of his own.

A fascinating look at the reign of King Sejong. Among his many accomplishments was the creation of the written Korean language.

The making of the Korean written language; loss of people ; changing of feudal system; literacy; and leaving the common Chinese written language to be a strong Josen country.
It is a great drama slow to start; more historical depth; sure explain why the characters are so funny shaped; how to change a nation's culture to accept something "New".
Something to learn from in present politics. Yeah to Josen dynasty founder x4.
