This is the year 2013 as 2nd edition. Author, Dr. Michael Merzenich (researcher, teacher)

I found this to be a slow read, thus the several renewals. It might be a book to check out several times; his knowledge is authentic, contemporary, and important. Brain science, brain health, brain research, brain plasticity, resilience, etc.

Check out his web site too. Is he on YouTube?

When the public tv network has its many fund drives on TV, Merzenich is one of its repeated presentations; always worthy of watching time and again.

Check out Dr. (Rudolph) Rudy Tanzi too; he is also a brain scientist extraordinaire.Excellent presenter; might likely by on YouTube: is always also on PBS public tv, presentations.
