What starts out as a fairly amusing Dark Comedy very quickly devolves into a truly depressing Drama.
This movie has no idea what it wanted to be. So, it dove (and belly-flopped) trying to be both.
All that darkness after the laughs killed the movie.

Entertaining one man show by Jude Law as a foul-mouth safe-cracker who carried on non-stop obnoxious-poetic Hemingway-like spiels to anyone and in all situations. Emilia Clarke, Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, played a small role as his abandoned daughter. Not for everyone, nothing serious but a fun watch.

This is a different side of Jude Law's acting abilities ... This is a full on testosterone movie. I'd rate this as R-rated.

Currently the NYPL has only Bluray copies of this film !?!
...four of them,
and nothing for the rest of us.
Bluray is a brand name gimmic.

The NYPL should use our taxpayers money to purchase DVDs that can be viewed by the rest of us.

Hard to find a quote without profanity. Here are a few without those 4 letter words:
Dom: I'm dying. I'm gonna die on this train.
Dickie: If dying on this train will shut you up, I'm all for it.
Dickie: Dom, don't think what you're thinking. That's Mr Fontaine's property.
Dom: Property is a relative term for a thief.
Ivan: Do you hunt, Dom?
Dom: No, I don't, Ivan. I only use a gun to hold up a place, or threaten someone, or rob 'em, or pistol-whip 'em, or scare 'em. But, no, no hunting.
Ivan: Shame. It is the sport of princes.
Dom: Well, I'm a peasant at heart. A petty serf with nice hair and a strong liver. I'll eat what you hunt, unless it's rabbit. Rabbits are pets. I don't eat pets.
Ivan: Oh, these French rabbits are something else, though, Dom. I think you'll like 'em. They taste like a revolution.
Dom: If that's an advert, I'm not sure it's working.
