Saw a small film clip on you tube about season 6 and remembered I've only seen the 1st 3 seasons.

One of best cast shows on Television. Everyone is at the top of their game and the writing, for the most part, is a smart mix of redneck justice with hillbilly humor. Great entertainment with a mix of veteran actors with some very talented new faces!

Lots of funny moments. Did not care for the tough female inmates scenes which seemed to drag but I did feel sorry for Ava. Wynn Duffy reminds me of the the Joker. Good to see Eric Roberts.
Final season release next month can hardly wait.

Love this series. I love the dialogue, the acting, the story lines - and the bad guys are so fun to watch - the only sore point with me is the camera work - specifically, the lighting. Sometimes, I feel like I could have done better with my Canon.

This time, the monsters were in the form of Darryl Crowes and the Mexican drug cartel. Like other long series, story lines were less thrilling and actors showing their age. Regardless, can't get enough of Goggins's elocution as Boyd Crowder.

(SPOILER ALERT: Not sure about over-weighing Ava's severe misadventures or the sudden introduction of Mary Steenburgen as Katherine Hale other than laying the groundwork for next season. )

It's a crime that neither of the main leads have won an Emmy for their portrayals. This season was extremely well written as far as sarcasm and wit. Unfortunately, the main plot wasn't nearly as interesting as Ava's struggles behind bars. The heavy focus of the main storyline on the struggle for control of the drug dealing in Harlan got complicated and old. It was great to see the character Dickie Bennet make a brief return! I'm hoping the final season will revert back to a focus on kin as it did with Season 2 and Margo Martindale. Certainly one of the best shows to ever be on TV. Will be very sad to see it go.

“Elocution of Boyd Crowder:

I've accused of being a lot of things...inarticulate ain't one of them.

You gonna cut down a tree that size you better make sure you bring a very big saw.

You figured you'd drive south anyway, rip off the simple people? Well we ain't that simple.

I guess that depends on your definition of friend. He's a nice enough fella, but I wouldn't ask to borrow his corduroy jacket.
