The evil wizard Gargamel creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties. But when he discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs, Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris. It's up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her.

i like this movie. its good. i am waiting to see the first movie someone has it out and its overdue now.
Unlike a lot of sequels, this 2nd Smurf movie was even better than the first. I decided I am old enough to watch it without needing the excuse of watching it with my child or grandchild! This movie has a beautiful lesson weaved in the fabric of its scenes and as it plays out, one comes to the realization that it doesn't matter where you came from. What's important is where you are going which can be clearly determined by your moral character and the type of person you want to be. This was a simply fun movie with really good actors that made it a delight to watch! I may just do a reRun! Highly recommended for all Smurf fans of ALL ages!

The kids 5 and 9 liked this movie and watched it a few times.
I saw this movie with ma kids its awesome, we love it, it was better than the first one.. i didnt know that margamel created smurfet? so if margamel created smurfet,the dad of the smurf fix her,who created the others smurf.. I used to watch the cartoons smurf when i was a little girl.. : /
I loved the first _Smurfs_ movie, and I was looking forward to the sequel, but the sequel doesn't live up to the first movie. The plot is a weak and you don't see much of the characters, Patrick and Grace. They were so funny in the first film. However, Brendan Gleeson is a great addition. I would love to see him in a third _Smurfs_ movie. Christina Ricci did a really good job as a new character, Vexy. Hank Azaria was just spectacular as Gargamel. He was born to play Gargamel & he's fantastic! He should have been nominated for acting award for the first movie and he deserves a nomination for this movie. This movie is still really great for kids, though. Recommended.

I used to watch the Smurf cartoons when they first came out. I love Smurfs and I think it is about time they are coming back around. Hope they keep on coming.
