Great movie, great of John Wayne's last movies among all the great movies he starred in. Excellent film.

The Cowboys has a great story to it. John Wayne plays a cattle rancher with one heck of a job to perform. He has only some young cowboys to help him cross 400 miles of dangerous trails to the cattle market. It is a great story and it has the master cowboy John Wayne.

Whenever this movie comes on TV my husband & I have to watch it. It is so compelling. The story of preteen and adolescent boys going on a cattle drive with John Wayne and along the way meet up with Bruce Dern. Just the interaction between John Wayne and Bruce Dern is the icing on the cake! Excellent film.
