If it was not for the nudity and sex scenes, it would have been shown as a great 1970s/early 80s "Movie of the week" on network TV.
This is the 4th film in a row that I could only stand for perhaps 15 minutes? Considering it was directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Roy Scheider I expected more. It had no energy, no narrative thrust.
