A nerdish florist finds his chance for success and romance with the help of a giant man-eating plant who demands to be fed.
"A comedy, a love story and a cult classic starring a giant singing plant from outer space - what else could it be but Little Shop of Horrors? The 1986 film has a surprisingly complex history; it began as a short story, then became a low-budget film, before turning into an Off-Broadway play, when finally Frank Oz and his team created this quirky, dark screen version. Many fans do not know that this adaptation originally had a far more sinister ending, which everyone can now see in the Director's Cut of the film included in this special edition package."--Container.

💐 Doubtlessly the best horror-comedy ever that was made in two days.

I'd heard about this years ago and since it had Jack Nicholson in it decided it was worth a try. But I was surprised that this was ever released on the public. Can't recommend it, not even for a laugh at how weird it is.

I liked the original movie, but this is to much of a musical and not much of a play or good movie for me.

Honestly, what can I say besides that it's a classic. It's got that weird, quirky, b-movie vibe, and is just bizarre and funny enough to make you forget about the kinda sorta terrifying story. It's funny, heartfelt, horrifying, and tragic, somehow managing to strike a perfect balance. Seymour's moral dilemma will forever be heart-wrenching, the concept of a sadist dentist will forever be hilarious, and a giant, singing, human-flesh-devouring alien flytrap named Audrey II of all things and voiced by Levi Stubbs of all people will forever be the cherry on top of this timeless movie. @red_sky_in_the_morning of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Little Shop of Horrors is a unique movie that is based on a play by the same title. The film stars famous actors such as Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, John Candy, and more! Everything about this movie is very unique and fun. It's funny, entertaining, and has absolutely amazing music! It also stays pretty close to the original play. Personally, I'd say that this is definitely a classic. If you haven't seen this, I absolutely recommend you see it, and the play! I also recommend this film to anyone who is interested in musicals! This is definitely one of the most unique musicals of all time. I give this film 5/5. @Gummibee11 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

The original Roger Corman movie was reportedly made in two days on a shoe string budget and, unlike The Terror, this is a riotous hit. And a dead-on take-off on (Dum-De-Dum-Dum) Dragnet! As for the original ending to the musical Frank Oz whines over change: the focus audience was right! It's not just that it's mean-spiritedly depressing: IT'S FROM A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MOVIE! After making us truly care for these two people, Oz suddenly kills them off and then expects us to immediately forget about them while he goes off on a non sequitur half-arse tangent. His ending , while working great in live theater (ala MARAT/SADE), falls flat on the screen. The ending he was 'forced to' (sniff! sniff!) tack on is PERFECT! It fits the movie we have been watching and, unlike the 'big special effects extravaganza' ( that I'm sure gave the Oz team a real h@rd-*n) the final shot of little Audrey 3 is much more satisfying ("Ho! Ho! Ho! Hee! Hee! Hee! Ya Got M' Little Cousins - and my great big brother - But Cha Didn't Get Me! PPPPHT!)
