I'm just not a fan of most seth rogan movies, his humor is not my taste

Utterly silly movie. Not a Seth Rogen fan so this one didn't grab me. Throw in a little Miley Cyrus and you've got the gist of this flick.

This movie is so funny.
Perfect funny movie to watch after the kids go to bed and you just need a good laugh.

I agree with others here that Seth Rogen's movie roles can be wildly uneven. I had low expectations and was expecting more gross out humour and drug/alcohol excess. But I was pleasantly surprised. Though it was a little too long, this wasn't predictable and didn't shy away from demonstrations of genuine masculine friendship that didn'tt involve hitting each other or jokes made to hide emotion. The piano scene was a great twist on a now classic and the writers neither exaggerated the good aspects of Christmas nor mocked it relentlessly. Mindy Kaling does her usual profane, vulgar shtick. The Hanukah sweater was funny, as was Betsy, whom the movie allows to be that rare wife that doesn't try to stop the three friends from doing exactly as they please....even acting as her husband's dealer.

I wasn't expecting this movie to be any good. Movies with Seth Rogen are either a huge miss or a huge hit. This for me was pretty good.
Made me laugh out loud on several occasions and had a nice friendy touchy-feelly thing going on.
Some drug referencing and sex stuff so don't watch with the kids unless you plan on have a good ol' chat about somethings.
Marked down on a couple of stars, as parts of it were dragged out, or over the top at times.
Otherwise fun film

has the moments but it shouldn't have been a comedy film, this has strong character moments and pretends to be something it most certainly is not.

Unfunny, even painful, waste of time. I sat through most of this film wondering when I might have a chance to laugh at some clever quip or funny set-up, but alas...

With a Seth Rogen movie, you almost always know what you're getting. Occasionally he'll mix it up, like playing Steve Wozniak in "Steve Jobs," but mostly it's him and his crew making dumb, funny stoner buddy comedies. This is their holiday movie and it's dumb and funny, but also wildly uneven and at least 20 minutes too long. Rogen's joined by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie (Hey, a black friend!), and, best of all, Michael Shannon in a rare comic turn as a drug dealer. The always delightful Lizzy Caplan is underused. Expect lots of cameos. The church scene may be the funniest. Rogen, JoGoLev, and director Jonathan Levine also worked together on the cancer movie "50/50."
