Onewhoissaved says, "Why would he even dare portray himself as loving father, an adopter of stray dogs, and at same time a man with a sick sex addiction that he wouldn't want his children knowing about?" The answer is, that if an actor portrays characters realistically, those people aren't always, or even usually, going to be perfect.

She also says, "And, when did movies about rape and murder become entertainment?" I think that was when "The Wild Bunch" came out, 1969.

Frankly, this movie TIghtrope was immediately graphically sick minded from just about the first scene. When the local library had it up for rent I said to myself that it's a Clint Eastwood movie, give it a shot. But he really can't act worth beans. Why would he even dare portray himself as loving father, an adopter of stray dogs, and at same time a man with a sick sex addiction that he wouldn't want his children knowing about? And, when did movies about rape and murder become entertainment? I vaguely remember seeing this movie when it came out in 1984 but through the years it hasn't left anything memorable for me to want to resee it. I got as far as 18 minutesw and ejected it, I mean rejected it.

Call me new age, but this movie is just plain weird and boring. Maybe we have been spoiled by an ocean of Law and Order episodes each of them 10 times better.
