My son loved this. He is recently turned 4 so testing the mean streak with this book.
It gave me good chance to highlight the greedy parts and the regret. My son understood the little "joke" of the mouse being there in his cage already when Crunch goes searching for him. The story could have highlighted the behaviour more but fine for adult reading to a child.
