I found this an interesting story about ordinary people that we never really know everything about - do we ever really know what people are. Her descriptions of the sisters I found compelling and could identify with living away from people and improvising how to entertain themselves. I'm sure some people would find the actions of the first wife (mother of the 2 girls) incomprehensible but it was compelling - sometimes horrible things happen for reasons not fathomable. In short, a compelling story and interesting study on people's actions.
