What happens when the man hired to protect you may be the real threat? Vincent, a troubled Afghanistan veteran who, after being discharged from the army, becomes bodyguard to the wife and young son of a wealthy Lebanese businessman at their luxurious villa on the French Riviera. But trapped in a perpetual mental warzone, the unstable Vincent must determine which dangers to the family are real and which are the product of his PTSD-fueled paranoia if he is going to keep them safe.

Add a CommentIt totally had me on the edge of my seat. A very good thriller and psychological portrait. I could sense the director's compassion for the main charactter's suffering, and it ended on a poignant note.
A great story. So often it is the "broken" people who are most skilled because of their brokenness. Not in spite of it but because of it.
Movie is in French.
Watch this because it stars Diane Kruger who became an international actress portraying Helen in "Troy 2004 ★★★" and more recently in "Special Forces 2011 ★★★," "Sky 2015 ★★½" and "The Infiltrator 2016 ★★½." She needs to pick her future roles better at 41 years young.
Slow beginning, intense ending, paranoia and ptsd in between.
Histoire peu vraisemblable, par contre menée avec beaucoup de suspense et de mystère. Les deux acteurs principaux sont parfaits dans leur rôle.
Excellent depiction of PTSD and the pervasive sense of unreality and disconnect.
Unfortunately the silly plot line fails to sustain a logical backdrop.
