Narrated by the gadget geek who also hosted Nova's "Making Stuff" series and others like "Hunting the Elements 2012," it is a fun program to demystify the chemistry of the ubiquitous power storage device for consumer electronics. Broad array of topics that included spontaneous self-combustion of some cell phones and hoverboards; the construction process of different kinds of batteries as the "18650" (18mm in diameter and 650mm in length) electrolyte Li Ion Rechargeable Battery used in Telsa cars, and a non-inflammable solid electrolyte (special polymer) lithium battery being explored for mass production. Also explored the latest energy storage units with Salt-water, flywheel and other systems to accommodate more weather dependent renewable sources being added to the power grid.
