Thank the director for not making a campy version of the Saturday morning program. This was a solid action drama regardless of the material. Made the human power rangers outsiders with their own personal troubles but with good hearts. Very good version to the start of the power rangers.

Good start, not a lot of action, develop relationship between the rangers and told how they started.

Relative to "Fantastic 4, 2015," this PG-13 film is more original, with cooler actors, bigger budget, big name grown-ups like Bryan Cranston as the voice of Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa. Probably a satisfying viewing experience for fans who do not get enough of those young superheroes since "Power Rangers: The Movie, 1995" and "Turbo: A Power Rangers, 1997." Say you were a 15 year old who saw the first PR in 1995, you would be about 37 years old today!!! Like the tank top Naomi Scott (Kimberly Hart / Pink Ranger) wore in the film: “It was all a dream” that this is a fantasy movie, use your imagination and be entertained like a 15 year old.

This was okay, until they actually became the Power Rangers. I think it may have been the "Go Go Power Rangers" riff that sent it off the tracks.

Power Rangers reminded me of the movie Chronicle which to me is a better movie when it came to characterization, pacing, and story telling.

Also: Krispy Kreme + Power Rangers with retractable helmets for more cheesy face time ala Spider-Man 3 Venom.

5 boring 25 year olds whine and complain for an hour, then a lousy training sequence, poor CG effects, and very little martial arts action. It's the Power Rangers, so I wasn't expecting a grand, epic film, but it fails at being a Power Rangers film. Where's the martial arts action?! Why the horrible cast when they didn't even have to pick actors with martial arts experience since they don't really fight? When a tv show from 25 years ago has better fight sequences, you know you're in trouble. I get they wanted to try something new (ie be like a superhero origin movie) but they failed in every way you could think of. The jokes weren't funny, the CG was tv movie quality (I really don't know where all that money they spent went), and wasting an hour on characters I really didn't care for makes for one of the worst films I've seen this year. Pick 5 random actors from Degrassi and you'd have a better cast. It's really a shame because there is fun to be had from the Power Rangers franchise if you don't take it too seriously. They took it too seriously and look what happened.

Liked that the movie focused on building the relationships between the characters instead of making it feel like another generic superhero movie. The fight scene was kind of sort but I felt it was leading up to the next sequel. Loved that the cast was so diverse and did not follow the superhero movie trope of having only white, male characters.

It is a little boring. Not highly recommended.

Looks like there is an extensive set of quotes in IMDb already:

Also, suggest to visit the trivia pages with some really eye openers on the film and its anthropology.
