not sure why so many negative comments on this film. First of all, if you are more concerned with someones haircut then the plot, you need to go watch Hairspray or something, I mean SERIOUSLY???..Sean Bean is a B listed actor who does a good job in his chosen roles. As for the plot, its timely and it tries to show TWO sides to an ever changing way in which war is fought. There is compassion, there is revenge, there are choices to make. As for why his wife was having an affair, its easy to see she was not happy in her home as he was always away, always distant, and does it matter WHY?..its not really the point of the film. But if you must know, it was part of the HONESTY that the terrorist wanted Sean Bean to feel. He wanted pain in anyway for his revenge. She was like 50% of all women in relationships and it was just who she was...and although it tried to show she really cared about her home life during the standoff , yes, I guess it could have been explored but it wasnt needed and would make the film too long for what it wanted to portray. ..perhaps it could have been left out completely.
I am still giving it a 3 star rating because it WAS entertaining and it DID make you wonder what might unravel in the end.

Drone-kill morality blended in with family issues. But the film doesn't quite work. Disappointing.

I was disappointed in this film because, in order to make its political point about American drones killing innocent Pakistanis, it presents stereotyped characters and bad information about drones. The Pakistani revenge seeker is shown as sensitive, wise in family matters, erudite, and steeped in the wisdom of an ancient civilization. The Americans are of course corrupt and stupid. American men's wives cheat on them and their sons lie to them because Americans can't face the truth. The drones are shown, comically, hovering in the air like helicopters, while they fire (very expensive) rockets at single individuals walking down crowded streets. The Pakistani gets his revenge by revealing the truth, that the drones are operated secretly by the CIA, and this will somehow send the corrupt American to prison in the end.
It's a mess concocted by an ideologue.

I found this film to be very good and particularly sad in the end. Who cares if the main actor needed a haircut totally irrelevant.

A potentially compelling premise laid low by lack of expertise on the part of film maker in timing, which is so crucial to a good thriller. To Sean Bean: Get a haircut, take a shower and learn to speak English. Never understand how this guy gets jobs. He must be nice to work with or something. Zero talent, looks like bloody hell. The kid had a few good moments but we have no idea why the wife was cheating. No care was taken to create sufficient pathos with the terrorist stalker, the only interesting character in the film. Should have been engaging but we found we talked all the way through it - never a good sign.
