Accessible, easy to understand, helpful, and warm - it would be good for family and loved ones as well as for someone initially facing the process of dying.

Well written by several people who know what they are talking about. I recommend it for friends & family members who can discover how very little there is to fear, for themselves and for their loved ones.

I also recommend it to those considering 'sitting with the dying' as a vocation (paid or volunteer) to give depth and breadth to their own experience based understanding.

This book is always available in the Plane Tree Health Information Center @ Cupertino Library. GL 100 C 1992

I found this to be an excellent source of information as to what the dying person is feeling and experiencing during the last months and weeks of life. It prepared me in a way I had not expected, to know when and how to talk about death with my loved one. And, really, knowledge is power.I found it wasn't all that frightening. Still sad, but no longer scary.
