Mitch Albom has a pretty great life. He lives in Detroit and is happily married, he's an award-winning sportswriter, a must-read newspaper columnist, a screenwriter, a radio and television broadcaster. Then two men come into his life, and he realizes something's missing. Rabbi Albert Lewis presides over a thriving synagogue in a comfortable New Jersey suburb, and pastor Henry Covington, a recovering drug user and dealer, preaches to the poor and homeless in a crumbling Detroit inner-city church.

Excellent true story. The Rabbi was most interesting with his quotes and jingles. Many lives were touched.

'What's your glory' is a powerful statement that haunts sports writer Mitch Albom when he is asked to write the eulogy (8 years early) for a beloved rabbi. Constantly searching for something more in his life, Albom spends each week with Rabbi Albert Lewis in order to develop a farewell speech for his final days. In the process of getting reacquainted with the rabbi, Mitch encounters a local Detroit pastor with a checked past and discovers that a person's history does not define who they are in the present.

This is a Hallmark Hall of Fame Movie based off Albom's original book 'Have a Little Faith' published in 2009. With a strong message of forgiveness and redemption, this TV movie is well worth a re-watch.

I liked this movie more the second time we watched it. It can seem a bit rough as it goes from the rabbi to the black pastor, but it's worth the ride. Great lessons learned. Great lessons of faith and love and forgiveness and community. Enjoyed this movie!

A very moving movie. Makes you think about what your purpose in life may be. Thought provoking. Touching.

Enjoyable inspirational movie. Rabbi Albert Lewis is hilarious, his sermons interesting and thought-provoking. Has very good quotable lines. Story of coexistence of different worlds, Christian and Jewish, African-American and white, impoverished and well-to-do. Focuses on life, death, and the afterlife. It’s also a tearjerker. Tells you that people can change for the better & that we should not judge them from their past.

This is based on the book, a True story by the well-known Author. I have not read the book, so I cannot compare the two. This movie is intriguing, heart-warming, and much more. It is about grace, humanity, forgiveness, caring and faith. The very people who suffered much from their own wrong choices of drugs, crime, etc, or injustice of wrong imprisonment done to them have turned their lives around. They've learned to practice the above postive aspects of human nature, and to be giving to others, no matter, how seemingly undeserving. This Story teaches that no matter what religion we are, or how rich or poor, or ethnic background, we are all human and same underneath. Very good acting! The story is excellent, but incomplete. I felt the story had holes in it that left one with questions. What happened to Henry's parents exactly? How did he and his many siblings managed? How many children did he have? Etc.That was very vague. Quite a few details, such as these, should have been dealt with on some level. There is a lot of substance in this movie. Lots of positive to say on how this movie was made, like using the original church site, and the people that were in it, the real homeless, etc. Yet, I feel, that it would have been better for the movie to be longer and some areas built up more. Regardless, I do recommend this movie! Beautiful movie of faith, grace and growth!
