Add a Commentgreat movie . visually stunning the scenery and cinematagraphy was amazing. an the acting in that movie was mind blowing. the cast was amazing. a must have dvd.
At least one of the sisters is most certainly not a virgin. She has a lot of sex throughout the movie.
The movie is obvious in blaming the mother for the older girls’ suicides. The youngest daughter’s suicide is less certain.
This movie had my body shivering and had me saying, "Holy Mother of God." But also making me ask a lot of questions about these five sisters back in the 1970's they came from a very tight, strict religious household. You may think the reasons they committed suicide was because of that reason and it maybe one of the reasons we don't know there could of been many reasons why they chose to end their lives. No one knows even today it's still something that is questioned what was going on with these five teenage women at the time. Maybe will never know the reasons I mean we may just keep on guessing for all time but don't take my word for it watch the film and see what theories and/or conclusions you come up with.
I should have realized what the movie was about by the title. But I found it sick and not very far into the movie gave it up.
The title says it all, but still worth seeing. Beautifully and lyrically done. Almost mystical exploration of the female sex. Deducting one star cuz there should have been more explanation of the sisters' actions.
it waz uneazi 2 get at timez, but u reali get in 2 it,u get lozt in it,meanin da drama n da crazi deathz not murders dat acur in diz flim dat r juzt confusing.......
The Virgin Suicides was a very unconventional film. It didn't go the route I kept expecting it to. That was nice. It was paced well and had some nice character development. The ending was not bad at all. Unfortunately, it did not blow me away, but it surly had the potential to do so.
Maybe the best James bond ever.
A well adapted film version of the book.
