Alden likes to follow people. He's not trying to be a creep, he just wants to be an investigator some day. But spying on people comes with risks ... like seeing popular Greg Matthews seemingly murder his girlfriend, Amy, behind the school. But the facts aren't adding up, especially because Amy turns up a few days later ... alive.

Following by Jeffry W. Johnston is a thrilling action story with lots of plot twists that will keep the readers captivated. In this story, Alden, a boy whose parents were killed when he was young, likes to spy on people. One day, Alden stumbles upon a murder, happening right in front of him, and takes initiative to solve this case with help from his best friend, Charlie, while trying to keep her dad, a police officer, from finding out. This story has a lot of plot twists that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, trying to find out what happens next. I think that the plot and conflict of this story was amazing, especially the fact that Alden was scared of getting caught and all the risks that come with solving this case, but still got over his fear and took the risks. It definitely made the readers feel the fear he had about getting caught and made their hearts pound, as if the readers were in the book as well. I would recommend this book for readers who love a thrill and has some time to spare, as this book isn’t that hard to read and isn’t very time-consuming. -Anonymous
