Loved the cast. Crotchety Lionel Barrymore always cracks me up -- I always hear the Underdog cartoon character Simon Bar Sinister. Edward G. was an exceptionally despicable little slimeball. Cowardly, too; sweating bullets over a little breeze (lol). The more I've seen Claire Trevor's performances, (e.g. "Born To Kill", "Murder, My Sweet"), the more impressed I am with her. The woman was gritty. And naturally, there's those two. The idyllic Hollywood romantic couple. Sorry, folks, can't resist a chorus: "We had it all... Just like Bogie and Bacall... Starring in our own late, late show... Sailin' away to Key Largo..." Awesome John Huston flick. Max Steiner's score, too. FIVE STARS.
