I thoroughly appreciated the change of perspective from the traditional ya novel. There are an abundance of YA novels that I find difficult to read because they are so full f teenage angst that they make me feel slightly ill. I've been there but I no longer relate. They are books for teenagera. Then there are books like The Miseducation of Cameron Post. It's just a great story told well. Everyone can relate in one way or another because the author tapped into those things that make us human.
