Join the W Challenge and Read a Book!

In honor of the 2019 Women’s Equality Day, the San Francisco Public Library has partnered with the W Challenge initiative to put together a women’s book list to inspire the next generation of women leaders! The W Challenge is a collaboration led by the San Francisco Assessor Carmen Chu, San Francisco Department on the Status of Women and the League of Women Voters San Francisco with a simple goal of raising women’s voices and expanding women’s representation. Each year the initiative designs a new challenge to encourage women to act. This year, the challenge is to read one of the books from this list because we know reading is power and knowledge is power! See below for books recommended by our local leaders.
